Samsung Supplying WiBro Equipment to Sprint Nextel

Samsung has signed a contract with Sprint Nextel in which Samsung will provide Sprint Nextel with WiBro systems for experiment. Under the agreement, Samsung and Sprint Nextel together will test WiBro systems and terminals as well as perform WiBro demonstrations. Both parties have also agreed to jointly establish international standards and develop technology for WiBro. With the help of Sprint Nextel, Samsung is expected to launch WiBro services officially in the US in 2007.
